Wind Speed vs Latitude

I do not believe there is a strong relationship on a locations latitude and the wind speeds experienced. As estbalished in the Humidity vs Latitude plot, I believe the speed of the wind is subject to the same line of thought as a product of pressure, and while a given hemisphere WILL affect directionality of wind, it will not be a factor in its speed.
